Music in Color?!
Can music be, colorful? No, only art can represent that, you might be thinking, but, actually, it can. The song "Colors of the Wind" in Disney's Pocahontas, is a song about colors, of the wind. But it doesn't have to be the title of the song to give it color. The lyrics represent some kind of emotion or feeling, and that's true color enough. Like if a song is a loud, angry song, it might be giving a red color because, when you think of mad, you mostly think of red. Or when a song is a sad mood, it could be blue. (This blog post was to answer one of my viewer's questions outside of blogger, and I hope this was informative enough!) Comment any song that could have a "color!"

Cher Lloyd
Cher Lloyd, a british singer and model, rose to fame through the British X-factor, just like One Direction.
- One of her hits, "Swagger Jagger" was a single that entered number one on the UK Singles Chart, and number two on the Irish Singles Chart.
- "With Ur Love" featuring Mike Posner peaked at number four in the UK and number five Ireland.
Kidz Bop
Kids Bop is a "kid-friendly" version of modern music, or "clean" version, and most parents would want their child to listen to this instead of the bad-influencing music today. But some kids have different, mixed feelings about the albums. Some dislike, and some like it, because its cleaned up version is better. But why dislike it? Bad words in music are influencing younger viewers. Cleaned-up versions can be better. So whether you hate it, or love Kidz Bop, rethink why. Is it really reasonable to have strong feelings about something for a silly or bad reason? Well, until next time, don't forget to bop to the music.
Romantic Songs
Okay, so Valentine's Day is coming up, so when you think of Valentine's Day, what do you think of? From romance, to gifts, and hearts, those are all logical to think about. But do you think about music? A way music can relate to this romantic day, is only in a romantic way. Those slow, romance songs do exist. Some can be:
- "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, is a song that relates to Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and tells a story about nothing other than a love story about a sappy romance going in this girl's head about this other guy. If you're maybe lonely this Valentine's Day, you could listen to this song.
- "Moment to Love" by Jay-Sean mentions the word "love" a lot, because that's what its about. If you have a lover, you should play this song. Its about a person saying they just want a, moment to love because like they never have time to.
- "Together You and I" by Dolly Parton is about this lady's strong love for this man and throughout the song Parton makes similes about how strong it is. This can be for anybody, if you have a lover, or if you like somebody who doesn't love you back...
Songs That Have No Meaning
Sometimes, people favor songs that just don't make sense. "Starships" by Nicki Minaj? What does it even mean? What are starships? And "Whistle" by FloRida, what is it trying to say? Before you like a song, why do you like it? Because the beat of the song is happy, and upbeat? What about the content inside the beat? That's why you need to go deeper in the music. Not just, "Oh, I like this song. The lyrics are cool." No, its explicit, nonsense that you need to look into, and that could have a negative influence on the younger kids.
