        Harlem Shake vs. Gangnam Style
The Harlem Shake, or Gangnam Style? Gangnam Style is older than the Harlem Shake, but something new could be better. Anyways, both songs are used for a dance, but Gangnam's Style's lyrics are foreign, but Harlem Shake's lyrics are mostly music and the few words that you can hear, you can quickly and easily translate, and you already know. Well, which song/dance do you prefer? After reading this essay, you'll be able to make up your mind easily.
             Now do the Harlem Shake
"Harlem Shake" is a song recorded by American DJ and producer Baauer. The uptempo song did not sell significantly until February 2013, when it was posted on YouTube, when the video set the song to an "Internet Meme." The media response to the song helped increase the song's sales, putting it on Billboard Top 100. But, in the video, many people were dancing to the song in a funny/crazy fashion, influencing many others to second the motion. If you search up the harlem shake, be sure to search up the original one because some on YouTube may be very weird.
                  Gangnam Style
Gangnam Style is a k-pop (korean pop) single from Psy. Even though the song was released in July 2012, it became the first YouTube video to reach a billion views. By the end of 2012, "Gangnam Style" had topped the charts of more than 30 countries, and in September 2012, the korean single was noticed by Guiness World Records by "Most Liked Video." This Korean pop star became a global phenomenon, also by the power of social media, like the Harlem Shake. The channel that originally posted "Gangnam Style" already had 2.5 million suscribers, give or take a few. Having this large audience was a key to a viral video.

                           Summary of Both
Well, if you go to the videos (the links will be available to you down below) you have to be aware that I am posting the clean versions, due to the fact I don't know the age of my audience. Back on topic, I feel that the Harlem Shake, in my opinion, would most likely win this Song Wars. (To the right, vote which is better!) The Harlem Shake seems to be better, because it started out small, before it became a hit. Gangnam Style didn't necessarily start out "big" but the story behind Harlem Shake and its producer seemed to be, more like an underdog story, to me. No matter what you choose, music, can obviously have a great influence on anybody, worldwide.
              LINKS TO THE VIDEOS
Here are the links to both of the videos:
(And for Gangnam Style I had to put just the lyrics in english because the video had some inappropiate parts that I didn't want to show on the blog and 95% of the time you can't understand what he was saying. You can search it up yourself if you want, but only if you can handle it.)

And for the Harlem Shake, I couldn't find the real and original version, so here's what it would look like, in a way. Also, its appropiate so you don't have to see lyrics. Until next time, DO THE HARLEM SHAKE!!!
